KATHMANDU: The Department of Immigration (DoI) has prolonged suspension of visa providers until April 15.

As per the choice of the federal government to increase lockdown to stop coronavirus from spreading, the DoI has additionally prolonged the visa service suspension interval, mentioned Ram Chandra Tiwari, info officer of DoI.

As per him, foreigners possessing a sound visa until March 21 and returning again to their nation inside the lockdown interval or inside seven days after the common service resumes are exempted from visa charge, late charge or penalties.

“Other foreigners wishing to increase their keep in Nepal are topic to pay the common visa charges solely, with none extra penalties.”

However, these whose visa had expired earlier than March 21 are topic to the standard late charges and penalties as per the prevailing immigration legal guidelines, he added.
