KATHMANDU: Shanker Group’s Vice-chairperson Sulav Agrawal has been arrested on the cost of black advertising thermometer weapons.
A group from the Metropolitan Crime Division (MCD) took Agrawal into custody on Tuesday afternoon from Naxal in Kathmandu.
According to Superintendent of Police on the MCD, Mukesh Kumar Singh, Agrawal was attempting to promote the thermal weapons at a hiked price of Rs 15,000 per piece when it truly prices round Rs 5,000 per piece. Police confiscated 67 thermometer weapons from his possession.
Police have additionally recovered a diplomatic car which was used within the crime, knowledgeable SP Singh. Agrawal is the honorary consul of Kyrgyzstan to Nepal.
