Rupee at all-time low
KATHMANDU: The Nepali foreign money will likely be devalued to a historic low visà-vis the US greenback on Thursday.
Against Wednesday’s alternate fee of Rs 122.34 per greenback, the central financial institution’s reference fee for Thursday reveals every US greenback will fetch Rs 122.61.
Nepali rupee, which is pegged with the Indian foreign money, has slid towards the greenback because the Indian rupee has come below strain. The rise and fall of the Indian foreign money instantly impacts the Nepali alternate fee.
The Indian rupee pared early positive aspects and settled for the day 17 paisa decrease at an all-time low of 76.44 (provisional) towards the US greenback on Wednesday, monitoring weak home equities and strengthening of the American foreign money abroad.
