Police clash with Kathmandu traders, shut shops

Police personnel have shut varied outlets within the New Road space of Kathmandu on Tuesday morning. The native merchants in Kathmandu had voluntarily defied the lockdown and resumed the operation of their outlets final week.
Earlier, it was reported that the District Administration Office has additionally already agreed to not impede the shopkeepers from doing enterprise. However, the native police officers in New Road argued that there was not an official order like that from the upper authorities.
Meanwhile, the legislation enforcers and the safety personnel engaged in a conflict because the personnel used drive to close the outlets.
Naresh Katuwal, the president of National Entrepreneurs Federation of Nepal, an organisation of outlets in Kathmandu, says the police act was condemnable.
