Parliamentary special committee formed to probe Soti incident of Rukum
KATHMU, June 8: The federal parliament has fashioned a particular committee to probe the Soti case of Western Rukum.
The assembly of the House of Representatives held on Monday determined to kind ‘Chaurjahari Municipality Soti Incident Probe Parliamentary Special Committee’ to probe the Sori incident submit a report back to parliament.
The movement to kind a nine-member probe committee led by Devendra Paudel was endorsed by the home unanimously.
Yekbal Miya, Durga Paudel, Parbati Kumar Bisunkhe, Prakash Rasaili, Bimala BK, Maheswor Jung Gahat, Min Bahadur BK Ram Shah Yadav are the members of the committee. The committee must current its report inside 30 days of formally beginning its investigation.
On May 24, six youths had misplaced their lives at Chaurjahari, West-Rukum simply due to an inter-caste love affair.
