Nine businessmen held for gambling, remanded to custody

Nine businessmen, a few of whom are ‘well-known faces’ within the enterprise fraternity, have been despatched to five-day police custody after being arrested from a playing den final evening.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar KC, additionally the spokesperson for Metropolitan Police Range, Teku, stated Kathmandu District Administration Office despatched them to police custody for additional investigation.
Among the arrested are Bimal Kumar Khetan, Ram Chandra Sanghai, Ashok Kumar Agrawal, Purushottam Agrawal, Suresh Kumar Agrawal, Govinda Ram Sariya, Nanda Kishor Sharma, Bimal Ahuja and Nikki Jogai.
Jogai, an Indian nationwide, is the proprietor of a resort, in keeping with police. Similarly, Sanghai is managing director of Sanghai group and Ashok Kumar Agrawal is managing director of Vishal Group.

Police have confiscated Rs 27,700 million and 179 on line casino chips from the playing den.
