KATHMANDU: The authorities has backtracked from its earlier determination on tax clearance date revised the deadline for people and companies to clear taxes and file returns for the present fiscal yr.

As per the revised plan, the taxpayers should clear their dues by June 21.

Earlier, the federal government had ordered companies and people to clear their tax dues by June 7.

The IRD on Tuesday had requested companies and people to submit the second instalment of earnings tax of the present fiscal yr by mid-June and worth added tax and excise obligation until mid-March and mid- April, respectively, by June 7.
