Eight individuals have been arrested for his or her alleged involvement in smuggling wildlife and forest merchandise making the most of the nationwide lockdown, in Bardiya National Park.

Chief Conservation Officer on the nationwide park Ananatha Baral mentioned that two smugglers from Barbardiya Municipality have been arrested for his or her involvement in timber smuggling, two from Bansgadhi have been arrested for unlawful river mining and 4 individuals have been arrested for fishing within the river utilizing poison. Similarly, a patrol group deployed from the park seized a musket used for wildlife poaching.
