CAAN donates Rs 10m
KATHMANDU: Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has donated Rs 10 million to Coronavirus Infection Prevention, Control and Treatment Fund.
Rajan Pokhrel, director basic of CAAN, handed over the donation quantity to Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokharel on Wednesday as a contribution towards the federal government’s effort to combat towards the virus, CAAN said.
Prior to this, home airways corporations — Himalaya Airlines and Yeti Airlines — had additionally donated Rs 10 million every to the fund, whereas Airline Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) had donated Rs 2.5 million to the fund.
