30 missing as tipper ferrying Indian returnees to Kalikot quarantine plunges into Karnali River

NEPALGUNJ: As many as 30 individuals have gone lacking after the tipper they had been travelling on fell under the street right into a river on Wednesday morning.

The tipper was ferrying fifty Nepalis getting back from India to a quarantine facility at Raskot Municipality  in Kalikot district.

According to a neighborhood, Dil Bahadur Shahi, the tipper skidded off the street at Lalighat alongside the Karnali hall and plunged into Karnali River.

After the incident, a group of police have been deployed to the location for search and rescue operation, knowledgeable District Police Offie, Kalikot. It has been learnt that a few of the passengers had been rescued from the river by the locals.

The tipper was used to ferrying individuals getting back from India after the authorities couldn’t handle sufficient autos. According to police, overload of passengers past the capability of the automobile might need been the reason for the accident.
