KATHMANDU: The Bureau of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change), on 28 May 2020, determined that the The 26th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 26) to the UNFCCC, which was initially scheduled to happen from 9-19 November 2020 in Glasgow, UK, would happen from 1-12 November 2021, in the identical venue.
The press assertion launched by the UK authorities acknowledged, “In the run-up to November 2021, the UK as hosts will proceed to work with all concerned to extend local weather motion, construct resilience and decrease emissions. The new date may even permit the UK and our Italian companions to harness our incoming G7 and G20 presidencies in driving local weather ambition.”
